The iconic but obsolete Poolbeg chimneys have been re-appropriated
Smoke from the power station rises through the chimneys, and passes thorugh the bio-reactor tubes. From there, bio-fuel is siphoned from the tubes, to where it is processed at ground level. The towers are symbolically capped to signify that they will no longer produce emissions.

The project changes between day and night. During the day it is semi transparent and almost inconsequentially symbolic. It says “attitudes towards
energy are changing”.

At night the project glows phospherescently green. It remains symbolic of attitude changes, but becomes a talking point and a source of contention due to it’s dramatic upheaval of the Dublin skyline.
